With the income of the trees the foundation “It's Your Turn” is able to invest in the construction of the Education Centre in Cayar and give a financial contribution to the Green World Campaign. 

Occasion

On February 2010, the University Cheikh Anta Diop and “Its Your Turn” – the work placement and training company of Hogeschool INHolland - signed a cooperation agreement. Dutch and African students will work together on new and sustainable future perspectives. The First project is called: “Green World”.

Green World Campaign

The Green World Campaign is working on the reforestation of our planet, the increasing of the living standards of the poor, and the fight against global climate change. 

The project ''Green World'' will start in St. Louis in August 2010.

Goal Green World

Plant trees. Many trees. Trees heal the barren soil and raise the food crops. Trees remove CO2 from the air, and restore the environment for future generations. 

Help people and “plant” the future. The foundation plant trees to recover the ecology and economy of one of the poorest places in the world. “It’s Your Turn” helps the community of Saint Louis by:

• Transfer knowledge
• To develop sustainable livelihoods,
• Creating a better ecological environment
• Conservation of cultural values

Working method Green World

In August 2010, hundreds of students from the University Cheikh Anta Diop will work on the project ''Green''Cayar”. Along with the locals, they will clean up several villages in Saint Louis, plant hundreds of trees, set up a medical post, offering computer classes and set up science projects. In addition, there are specialists from Senegal who offer their services to the project.
